Sharam (a.k.a. Sharam Tayebi) — one half of electronic music duo Deep Dish — has mixed the latest installment in the legendary Global Underground compilation series.
Due October 17, the double-disc mix set is inspired by Sharam's April 6, 2006 visit to Trilogy, one of the many super-clubs springing up in this United Arab Emirates' burgeoning metropolis. The compilation features tracks and remixes from the likes of John Creamer & Stephane K, Paul Van Dyk, Felix Da Housecat, Planet Funk and many more.
Leading up to Dubai’s street date, Sharam will complete a North American DJ tour in support of his new album. He will pass through select markets including New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Denver and San Francisco beginning on September 29.

Although I live in Dubai it really irks me that they chose Dubai...everything about it is overhyped, and honestly, what does the following have to do with choosing Dubai as the next GU destination?
"With some of the world’s largest skyscrapers (under construction is Burj Dubai, whose height is being kept a secret due to competition, but estimates go as high as 2650 feet) and unique landmarks (largest indoor ski resort Ski Dubai plus the Palm Islands--the three largest artificial islands in the world), shopping malls and leading hotels (Burj El Arab, the only existing seven-star hotel) to its credit, it is no wonder Global Underground chose this ultramodern city for Sharam's offering."
Anybody?
