Parade Wars, B-Parade ready to take over Loveparade

With a budget of approx. 1.8 million euros, the financial year of Loveparade's counterpart Berlin Dance Parade (B-Parade) is sufficiently backed. Though, the B-Parade carrier is not permitted to tighten things as since 9 months there's still an authorisation on the part of Berlin senate outstanding. B-Parade requested July 14th 2007, the very same date both Love Parades take place on.

The reason of this missing grant could be that three carriers are applying to host in fact the very same parade as also Planet Pro, the festivity which took place in 2005, asked to stage their truck-less open air techno concept. Though Planet Pro's future hardly depends on a forthcoming court decision (Febuary 2007) as in the past they were sued by Off Pop Music Day, an event featuring the very same truck-less concept. Not passing this court decision would mean the end for Planet Pro.

The B-Parade positioned as follows:

In case Berlin authorities will grant July 14th to Loveparade, B-Parade will exhaust all possibilities to negate this decision. While IFA and Popkomm quite a few sponsor talkings had been held; successful talkings, according to B-Parade, which makes them so far to be the first parade concept with a coherent financing.

Doesn't matter if the parade on July 14th will begin with an L or a B, it's desirable that both carriers will find a non-short-term solution.
