James Holden - The Idiots Are Winning

October 9, 2006  |  By Sotek  |  0 Comments

rel_james_holden_idiots.jpgAfter a string of successful singles (Nothing, Come To Me, etc.) and a few mix compilations (Balance 005 and most recently At The Controls on Resist Music), UK based DJ/producer James Holden now returns with a release of his debut artist album entitled "The Idiots Are Winning".

James Holden gained substantial fame for his tireless remixing and his instantly-recognizable ethereal progressive house style with a very apparent attention to detail. He garnered instant attention in 1999 with the release of his first single (at the age of 19), Horizons / Pacific on Silver Planet (later signed to INCredible), which became one of the biggest surprise hits of 1999.

Holden also has an enviable reputation as a big name remixer, having put his name to tracks by Madonna, Britney Spears, Depeche Mode and New Order, among the most well known pop artists.

In 2003, Holden formed his own label, Border Community which launched with one of his biggest singles to date - A Break In The Clouds. Since it's launch three years ago, Border Community is widely considered being one of the best and most forward-thinking progressive labels around.

Tracklist:

01. Lump
02. Quiet Drumming Interlude
03. 10101
04. Corduroy
05. Flute
06. Idiot
07. Lumpette
08. Intentionally Left Blank
09. Idiot Clapsolo
10. Quiet Drumming

'The Idiots Are Winning’ will be released on Border Community on both CD and 2x12" vinyl on October 30, 2006 in the UK, and available worldwide from mid-November, with digital downloads to follow in late November / early December, 2006.
