Linkage: Mark Finkelstein, Black Strobe, Duran Duran, Moby & more

October 27, 2006  |  By Sotek  |  0 Comments

- Skrufff chatted with Strictly Rhythm label founder Mark Finkelstein: “I don’t go to the clubs, I’m not part of the scene and my ear’s stuck on somebody like Phil Collins or Eric Clapton. That’s where my head is at; I’m irrelevant, I’m too old to pick the music. But it’s exactly the same as before, back then Gladys picked all the music and I didn’t even listen to it.” [TrusttheDJ]

- Ivan Smagghe and Arnaud Rebotini aka Black Strobe compile the best of their remixes on "A Remix Selection" to be released on Playlouder Recordings on December 4th, 2006. They’re also hard at work on a debut album. [ResidentAdvisor]

- Moby has warned too much raving as a youngster can cause premature baldness. "I believe that those early experiences contributed to me losing my hair. It was a really fun period, but incredibly stressful." [ContactMusic]

- Paris Hilton and Carmen Electra are already negotiating appearance-fees for potential NYE parties in New York, Miami, and LA. Paris demands $100k, Carmen $50k. [Clubplanet]

- Guitarist Andy Taylor, one of founding members of the English New Wave band Duran Duran left the band, for unknown reasons, just in the middle of their tour, forcing the band to enlist another guitarist. [myReflection]
