Doesn't matter if Walfisch, Bogaloo or finally Sage; since the early 90's there had always been a club in the old building on top of Berlin's Heinrich-Heine-Strasse subway station. Though, so far the Sage team had and has the power to survive, as this year their club sees another birthday celebration - Sage Club will turn nine.
The club saw many changes during its almost a decade long existence; starting the underground way, following Walfisch's techno-orientated footsteps then finding its space in providing high-quality house music. Many people didn't hesitate to play the Sage, so didn't Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar or the Ibizan "In Bed with Space" guys. After a period of untroubled existence, the club changed its program to approach larger audiences: from rock over black music to techno.
Soon this concept will become celebrated with a 4 days lasting birthday bash featuring a well-assorted mix of all current resident DJ's plus some chosen guests:
Saturday, Nov 25 ~ 125bpm with Mike Vamp (Märtini Brös / Pokerflat)
Sunday, Nov 26 ~ Splash with Jeremy P. Caulfield (dump unit / Canada)
And for the good old times' sake, US house heavy-weight Roger Sanchez had been invited to play December 2nd's Blood party, along with local matador Divinity.
