Linkage: Villalobos, M-Audio, Jimmy Van M, Sunshine People & more

November 2, 2006  |  By Sotek  |  0 Comments

- Recent EPs have seen Villalobos stretching out his productions for longer and longer, but this time at thirty-seven minutes, Fizheuer Zieheuer even spills off the vinyl halfway though, with the second half playing on the B-side. [365Mag]

- The XSP is a new MIDI controller by M-Audio set to replace the older “X-Session” MIDI device, and attempts to replicate the standard 2-4 channel audio mixers with which most of us are familiar. [CreateDigitalMusic]

- Jimmy Van M tours US and Canada in November and December, promoting his recent Balance 010 mix compilation. Van M has fifteen confirmed tour dates in North America so far including the Giant New Year's Eve party with Sasha and John Digweed. [ResidentAdvisor]

- One of the first festivals off the block for the year 2007 seems to be Australia’s annual Sunshine People event. The New Years Day party which held on the banks of the Yarra River in Melbourne returns for another year of fun with five separate arenas and even a boat cruise powered by the sounds of prog. [HigherFrequency]

- Prince will open a nightclub at the Rio hotel in Las Vegas, which will host concerts by the artist as well as acts signed to his NPG label. [Billboard]
