Long-running Glasgow imprint Soma Quality Recordings celebrate fifteen years in the business this year, marking the milestone with the release of an annual label compilation.
Founded in 1991 and still active and highly successful, Soma is most notable for releases by artists like Slam, Funk D'Void, H-Foundation, Percy X, and many others.
Soma’s annual compilation of their best releases from 2006 features many of label's regulars: Alex Smoke, Silicone Soul, Funk D'Void, and My Robot Friend among others. The compilation also includes a new track 'Riphead' from the resurrected trio The Black Dog.
CD 2 features label honchos Slam, who both have put together a continuous DJ mix from eighteen Soma tracks, both old and new, featuring some of the label's classic releases such as Slam's 'Positive Education'.
