Andrew Thomas - Gaps In The Sun

December 11, 2006  |  By Sotek  |  0 Comments

200612_rel_komp3.jpgCologne-based Kompakt imprint announced the new addition to its growing label family: KOMP3. As an exclusive, digital-only imprint, KOMP3 is set to focus on Kompakt's most important members, particularly from the family of musicians who you often find on "POP Ambient" compilations.

KOMP3 launches with its first release, Gaps In The Sun, by New Zealand-based producer Andrew Thomas. Following his first LP, Fearsome Jewel (2004), Gaps In The Sun builds on Andrew's ability to sonically audibly transform a room in the paramont of ways, mingling a classic piano with the digitality of subtle clicks and pops and the warms of synth strings.
