Linkage: Swayzak, Jeff Mills, DJ Mag, Luke Chable & Danny Bonicci

December 5, 2006  |  By Sotek  |  1 Comments

- British institution Swayzak (James Taylor & David "Broon" Brown) are working on a new album (May 2007?) for Studio !K7. According to their their blog, "[the new album] looks like a step in the old way plus a two-fingered salute to the minimal scene." The duo have also negotiated the release of some very special 12-inches this coming year. And speaking of vinyl: Does anyone buy it anymore? "I hope so! Otherwise we're fucked," says Brown.

- MIM (The Music Industry Manual), a publisher of music industry directories, has purchased DJ Mag for an undisclosed amount, reportedly winning a bidding war that included several other interested firms. [BigShot]

- Here's a collection of the worst album covers known to man. WARNING: Some of the covers that are about to be displayed may be offensife (and also quite disturbing). [DeepSwitch]

- Interview with Luke Chable & Danny Bonicci: "365Mag makes an international phone call from our HQ in Amsterdam to the heart of Down Under, to grab a few words with the much in-demand duo." [365Mag]

- Is Detroit techno master Jeff Mills a DJ God? Well.. see it for yourself: Jeff Mills - The Exhibitionist Mix (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3).
