Linkage: Lusine, Air, Mistress Barbara, Manuel Gottsching & more

December 18, 2006  |  By Sotek  |  1

- March 20, 2007 will see the release of "Podgelism", a collection of Lusine material remixed by the likes of Apparat, Cepia, Matthew Dear, Deru, Dimbiman, Lawrence, John Tejada, and Robag Wruhme of Wighnomy Brothers.

- Air's forthcoming new LP "Pocket Symphony", due March 6 on Astralwerks, is apparently very much inspired by classical music, reports Billboard. And although details are still being confirmed, Air also plans to start a world tour this March.

- Late last week the online shopping giant Amazon.com began circulating contracts to record labels aiming for a 2007 DRM-free music download store launch.

- For the 25th anniversary of Manuel Gottsching's legendary composition E2-E4 on December 12, 2006, there is a special edition available at Ashra's official website. There is a new cover art and a 3-page article written by Manuel himself, where he talks about the title and gives further previously unreleased information about the album.

- Misstress Barbara has signed to James Holden’s Border Community imprint and ditched the hard techno she’s best known for with ‘more melodic, stripped-back- dare we say minimal’ music, the label revealed this week. [Inthemix]
