Linkage: Fatboy Slim, Justin Martin, MySpace, Big Shot Magazine hit & miss

January 04, 2007  |  By Sotek  |  0 Comments

- According to British Independent newspaper, Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim is now working on a soundtrack for Disney. He is being linked to Hollywood's hottest film composer, Danny Elfman, founder of the cult band Oingo Boingo and creator of theme tunes for The Simpsons and Desperate Housewives.

- According to DJ Mag, San Francisco resident and Claude VonStroke's sidekick Justin Martin is set to take over clubland in 2007. "I'm definitely a 'fly by the seat of my pants' kinda guy," said Martin.

- MySpace Artists Facing Label-Type Dilemmas: A press release from a few bands on MySpace reveals that these indie artists are facing some of the same decisions that established music labels started facing years ago, with MySpace's new SnoCap-driven music store drawing closer to launch. - Big Shot Magazine messed up pretty badly with this. They seem to forget the fact that there are two "Stereo" nightclubs in NYC. This is the Stereo mentioned in the Page Six article, not this one. Oh boy! Next time do more research first! Update: The problem is now fixed.
