- The studio of popular Atlanta mixtape DJs Drama and Don Cannon was raided by authorities last night for music piracy. "These guys are actively advertising online. They've got a website that they're advertising from, that's where you place your orders and that's how the orders are shipped out," says Matthew Kilgo of the RIAA.
- 'Baby Kate' - the opening track from last year's M_nus label compilation "min2MAX" courtesy of Michigan-born, Paris-based DJ and producer Heartthrob (aka Jesse Siminski), gets remixed by M_nus's very own Magda, Konrad Black, Richie Hawtin as Plastikman and BPitch Control's Sascha Funke. Release date is set to late February / early March of 2007.
- Ulrich Schnauss' new artist album is "very, very, very close to completion. It's a mere matter of days," he says. A release date will be set in the coming weeks.
- The 22nd Annual International Dance Music Awards is now open for nominations. The categories range from Best Underground Dance Track to Lifetime Achievement Award and everything in-between. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, January 31, 2007.
