Beside rising petrol prices and VAT taxes also some non-governmental actions get it's off-key continuation. Of course it is the catfight between two Berlin's well known techno parades: Love Parade and its self-proclaimed successor B-Parade.
While founder Dr. Motte is going on his own, Love Parade boss Rainer Schaller managed to establish his uncompromising way of how to bring back the "Love" to Berlin. Since then basic changes had been applied to the parade's concept as for example the procession's new date July 7th, 2007 exemplyfies. Under Motte's leadership the date has always been the second weekend of July. However, when big structures are moving niches for the small appear. Such a gap got recently filled by B-Parade as they immediately occupied July 14th and annouced that "On July 14th 2007 the Berlin Dance Parade / B-Parade will take place. Thanks for your trust."
Two parade-like events in such a short period. Love Parade has expectation of profits on its back, B-Parade has (so far) no reputation. A definite potential for future catfights. Filter27 is curious about how this draws to a close as it's sure that Berlin's senate will lay down the law.
