Miguel Migs to release Those Things

February 1, 2007  |  By Sotek  |  0 Comments

200702_miguel_migs.jpgThe San Francisco-based house DJ, producer and label owner, Miguel Migs, is set to release his second artist album titled "Those Things" on his own Salted Music imprint in late March. The new LP is a follow-up to his 2002 debut "Colorful You."

"Those Things represents an open-minded spectrum that can have multi-meaning and definition. It's electronic music inspired by old soul, funk, reggae and hip-hop incorporating lots of live elements," says Miggs. These elements include the trumpet, congas, saxophone, guitar, bass and, of course, a diverse array of guest vocalists such as Sadat X from Brand Nubian, Lisa Shaw, Tim Fuller, Fred Ross from Sly and the Family Stone and Junior Reid.

The album's first single "So Far" will be released on February 6 along with remixes by Rasmus Faber, Eric and Josh Heath.

In support of "Those Things", Miggs is planning a live band to take out on tour with a few vocalists including Lisa Shaw, L.T. and Tim Fuller among others to perform a selection of new and older material.
