The fifth installment of the annual North American Club World Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Prive lounge in Miami, FL. DJ and producer The Scumfrog will return as host.
Unlike other programs, The Club World Awards is entirely dedicated to the business of North American nightlife. Nineteen categories in six fields honor every element of a nightclub or lounge, from its design, to its technicians, to its promotion.
This year’s nominees reflect quality nightlife’s large geographical spread, with cities like Washington D.C., Dallas (TX), Denver (CO), Jacksonville (FL), Pittsburgh (PA) and Santa Barbara (CA) sharing the spotlight with always-dominant New York (Cielo is set to defend its two-year "Best Club" title), Las Vegas, Miami and San Francisco.
Club World Award nominees are selected from submissions by the staff of Club Systems International magazine. The winners are determined by a panel of ten industry-veteran judges, in all categories except one: the NightStalker Award, CWA's own "people's choice," which is determined by public online voting.
