Ron Trent mixes NRK's third Coast2Coast

Delving deep into the Chicago underground, NRK's Coast2Coast compilation series follows up the previous mix CDs from Quentin Harris and Kerri Chandler with a selection from Ron Trent.

Out in late March, Trent's Coast2Coast mix is chock full of signature sounds, from the lush pads and sweeping pianos of his own tune "Love To The World," to the deep emotive house of Playin 4 The City and the soulful vocal cuts such as the Blaze rework of Stephanie Cook's "What Makes The World Go Round" and Roland Clarke's "Sunshine".

Considered to be one of the founding fathers of the Chicago scene, Trent began to work on his own productions which lead to his first release, the highly recognized techno classic "Altered States" in 1990, giving him international acclaim. Through his 13 year old Prescription Records, widely regarded as one of the most influential Deep House imprints of the period, Trent has notched up an extensive back catalogue of his own productions and introduced several key players.
