Linkage: Matthew Dear, Jeremy P Caulfield, RIAA, Shiloh, James Murphy

March 01, 2007  |  By Sotek  |  0 Comments

- Matthew Dear's long-awaited sophomore album titled "Asa Breed" arrives this June on Ghostly International. Moving beyond his dancefloor roots, this record finds Dear further exploring vocal pop, with expanded instrumentation, and of course the forward-thinking production values. The preliminary 10" vinyl single "Deserter" is out May 8 and includes a remix from Four Tet as well as a non-album B-side.

- LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy recently began blogging for England's Guardian paper. So far, he's been sounding off on topics such as mixed martial arts, frequent flyer miles, and blogging.

- EQ Mag interviews the Canadian DJ and production duo Shiloh: "There were days when I wished it was just a regular mix - the days I had to force Colin to leave the room and get out of his PJs and shower." The duo also reveal more details about their upcoming mix CD "Elements 01," out March 5 on Baroque Records.

- Folks over at TAPE caught up with Jeremy P Caulfield from Berlin-based Dumb-Unit Records to talk midgets, fishing and the dark fantastic.

- There have been a few incidents recently where the RIAA has asked hosting companies of bloggers to suspend accounts that post unsanctioned MP3s. [via Idolator]
