Pioneer announced its collaboration with DJ Times to find "America's Best DJ" through sponsored events and online voting. The contest will kick-off at the Winter Music Conference in Miami and will conclude when the winner is announced this August in Ibiza.
"There's a lot of undiscovered DJ talent across the country and we're hoping to find it with this event," said Neil Altneu, vice president of sales and marketing for Pioneer's Pro Audio and Video Division. "DJs have become an integral part of the music culture and we're making it possible for them to show off their talents through our DJ products."
All participating DJs can perform using any of Pioneer's DVJ-, CDJ- and DJM- products used at the venues. In addition to performing at club events across the country, competing DJs will have a voting page online where fans can cast their votes.
