The Field releases From Here We Go Sublime

March 20, 2007  |  By Sotek  |  0 Comments

200703_the_field_from_here_we_go_sublime_kompakt.jpgSwedisd producer Axel Willner, a.k.a. The Field, will release his eagerly anticipated debut artist album, From Here We Go Sublime, through Kompakt on March 26.

From Here We Go Sublime features three old tracks alongside seven new cuts.

Willner has already released two EPs on Kompakt - the 4-tracker Sun & Ice (2006) and 12" Things Keep Falling Down (2005). His tracks also appeared on Total 7 and Pop Ambient 2007 compilations from the same label.

Known for producing repetitive and insistent tracks, Willner's sound doesn't change much on the new LP. His trademark, uplifting sound with a great sense of warmth is present; and works well from the opening tune "Over The Ice" through the rest of the album. "The Field is a bit more happy and ambient technoish with a 4/4. You can dance to it," explains Willner.
