UK-based duo Tom Rowlands & Ed Simons, better known as The Chemical Brothers, are back with their latest release. Out mid-June, We Are The Night is the duo's sixth full length proper, which follows the 2005's Push The Button that featured Q-Tip on the hugely popular lead single, "Galvanize."
Recorded "undercover of darkness in a bomb proof bunker in South London," the new LP promises to be the duo's finest work to date, featuring twelve tracks of psychedelic warehouse party acid music.
Guests on the album include London-based formation Klaxons, American rock band Midlake, folk singer Willy Mason, vocalist Ali Love and hip-hop musician Fatlip. Ali Love provides vocals for the first single "Do It Again" (out June 4) while Klaxons assists the band in "All Nights Reserved". Midlake and Mason lend their voice in "The Pills Won't Help You Now" and "Battle Scars" respectively.
The duo recently sneaked out an album preview (the anonymously released ultra limited Electronic Battle Weapon 8 & 9). Much of the record has been tested out already on dancefloors across the world during the past twelve months.
To celebrate the album release The Brothers will tour North America in September after making several appearances in a number of festivals such as UK's Glastonbury in June. For all upcoming dates check out their MySpace page.
The band's music will also be featured in Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance, a movie based on Irvine Welsh's best selling novel of the same title.
