Paul Kalkbrenner - Altes Kamuffel

April 25, 2007  |  By Sotek  |  1

200704_paul_kalkbrenner.jpgDJ and producer Paul Kalkbrenner has a couple of new tracks coming out on Berlin-based BPitch Control imprint. Titled Altes Kamuffel, the 12-inch is due for release at the end of May.

The vinyl contains two brand new cuts, both typical, Kalkbrenner-style techno burners. The first track, "Altes Kamuffel," starts off with a soft and trancey synth line, infiltrated by a straight beat and heavy bassline.

"Ick Muss Aus Dit Milieu Heraus" (meaning "I gotta get out of this milieu") on the flipside is there right away, but nevertheless builds up continously, with a longer break in the middle of the track.

Like his fellow BPC labelmate Sascha Funke, Kalkbrenner also benefits from his temporary stay in the South-French Aix-en-Provence, where they both work in their studio.

Beside producing his own tracks, Kalkbrenner is working intensively on the film score for his movie, in which he will also play the main character.
