- According to HitWise, the site Radiohead set up to accept pre-orders for its pricing optional In Rainbows album saw an 11-fold increase in traffic last week and become the most popular band website in the UK.
- Billboard reported that the band Nine Inch Nails, like Radiohead, is now celebrating a 'free agent' status as well. "I have been under recording contracts for 18 years and have watched the business radically mutate from one thing to something inherently very different and it gives me great pleasure to be able to finally have a direct relationship with the audience as I see fit and appropriate," NiN frontman Trent Reznor writes on the band's website.
