From Mixmag website:
"Following our acid house retrospective last month, this month sees us bring you ‘The Future Issue’, spearheaded by our cover star and techno pioneer Richie Hawtin. Inside the feature Richie tells us how he sees the future of dance music and clubbing will progress and we also look at new inventions, virtual clubbing, green clubbing, blogs, future fads, social networking, the planet’s most futuristic clubs and new ways of having fun in clubs. [...] So no excuses, grab a copy while you can..."
No, thank you.
why not then? --
@zee: For obvious reasons: hype.
Both Mixmag and Hawtin have a long history of setting the wrong trends when it comes to dance music. Why do people still read that piece of crap (Mixmag) is beyond me.
ah yeah, i can see that.. although it's up to anyone to follow something or not, besides i don't thing there's anything "wrong" or "right" when it comes to choice. not that i like trendy mags or minimal, not at all:)
you all fucking loved hawtin when he had a shaved head. shallow snobs.
Stop the BS. Hawtin is one of the best Dj's in the planet, shame on you f....trancers who voted for that crap, and listen to that crap. You should check Hawtin's history before sending those stupid comments. He sets the future-today, as he did for the past 16 years.
@rafaguak: Are you serious?
I said many times before that Hawtin has put out some serious stuff back in the day. His "Plastikman" releases are records that I would swear under. However, his recent stuff as well as his DJ sets have been horrible.
No offense, I still respect him as an authority in dance music, but enough is enough. All I care about is the music... and he's (currently) failing when it comes to that.
