- Pitchfork catches up with Matthew Dear, a.k.a. Audion and False. "It's a very multiple life I lead. The Audion stuff is very popular in Europe and DJs know more about my techno side, where here [U.S.] I am a little more on the Indie music side."

- Philip Sherburne's latest Pitchfork column, The Month In: Techno, is up.

- Trance.nu has an interview with Swedish producer Eric Prydz. "People tend to fly a few hours to get to my shows in Europe, which I'm extremely flattered by. It's really great that people make that much of an effort."

- Fortune thinks that record labels matter now more than ever. Paul Sloan writes: "Yet for as much as the Internet helps bands get music out, in some ways it also makes it harder to get noticed -- at least on a grand scale. That's why most acts still need a big machine behind them, which for now means the labels."

- Create Digital Music interviews Greg Hendershott, founder of Cakewalk Software.

- Wired reports that the Amsterdam-based film company Zuidenwind is working on a documentary called "Between Ears" that will examine the effect the MP3 player has had on people.
