Here's a short video showing New Order bassist Peter Hook DJing — or should we say "pretending" to DJ — on MTV Free Your Mind stage at EXIT 2006.
Did you notice what's wrong with his performance? Well.. he's clearly faking it because he didn't even touch the turntables or CDJ's and just keeps turning the effects/volume knobs. He's also about to get a heart attack any minute... Worst. Performance. Ever.
Update: Peter Hook responds to those accusations in a post on his official MySpace blog:
Ah what a strange world we live in! this expose has appeared on An Australian website exposing me for the charlatan I am{sorry tim!} funny really its never the content that causes the damage, its like the PETER HOOK BLAMES BAND MATES FOR SPLIT! Headlines when you read the article I never did!

wow... WTF?? first tune is kinda rockin', as is the last, but what's with the "knob-twiddling"? i was waiting for him to fall over when he was putting is whole body into it. glad he was enjoying it - i cringed throughout the whole clip... come on, pete!!
Guys, this can't possibly be a surprise to anyone. Have you ever seen a 'celebrity' DJ? They all do something to similar effect (some don't even bother pretending).
