I stumbled upon a very interesting post today over at Teleosteopathy blog about the developments over at Resident Advisor, where both the Editor-In-Chief, Tami Fenwick, and the Managing Editor, Jeremy Armitage have both resigned after Armitage’s original review of John Digweed's Transitions Vol. 4 compilation was pulled by the site founders. Allegedly, this was due to worries about advertising revenue from the Renaissance record label.
Well, it seems that the integrity and objectivity of RA is at stake. Feel free to follow (if you care) the rants and raves here.

Was RA ever REALLY a go to location for anything beyond commercial house / progressive / trance? Not that those scenes aren't valid,... but IMHO the site never launched far enough into the international market to be very relevant. The forums were interesting... but still small in comparison to sites like Godskitchen. But hats off to Tami and Jeremy for trying to develop the site. They had a good run... Any estimates on how long it'll be before RA devolves into an empty shell? |
